BAQUA, the British Aquaponic Association, is on a mission to advance the UK aquaponics industry, offering workshops, events, advice and guidance to anyone wanting to get involved in aquaponics, either as a business or just for the enjoyment of running your own system to generate fresh produce for you and your family.
As an organisational member of BAQUA and creator of the FishPlant® Family Unit and FishPlant® Production Unit, HydroGarden’s keen to help spread the word about the environmental benefits of aquaponics. There are videos to explain how the FishPlant® systems work and can be easily set up without the need for tools, what weight of fish you’ll need and what outputs you can expect in terms of fish to eat, herbs and salads, depending on what size you choose.
If you are interested in finding out more about commercial aquaponics why not attend BAQUA’s 2016 workshop on Friday 2nd September at BioAqua in Blackford Somerset, hosted by Antonio Palladino. He’ll be offering a hands-on insight into his own aquaponics operation.
Then on Saturday 3rd September, BAQUA will be hosting its annual conference at Bridgewater College’s Cannington Centre, Somerset, including a business breakfast for anyone who wants to get more involved in the organisation’s steering group for the year ahead.
