We're digging out our favourite seasonal sweaters ready for Friday 12th December to take part in the third annual Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day.
HydroGarden has pledged to donate an additional £5 for each of our 75 team members who donate £2 for the privilege of wearing their best Chrimbo creation to work.
We want to encourage more local businesses to join in to help raise money for Save the Children’s vital projects both here in the UK and overseas. The charity reports that each year 6.6 million children die before their fifth birthday, many from illnesses that are preventable or from a lack of nutrition.
Save the Children's Fay Hoyland, said: "We're delighted to hear that companies such as HydroGarden are planning to join us to make the world better with a sweater. It’s really easy to take part – all you have to do is sign up at christmasjumperday.org, pop on a festive sweater on Friday 12th December and donate £2 to take part.
“All money raised from Christmas Jumper Day activities will help save the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children across the globe. In the world's poorest countries, more than 7 million children die every year from easily preventable causes like diarrhoea and malnutrition. Simple solutions, like vaccines and mosquito nets save lives so by raising money companies such as HydroGarden can help to make a real difference.”
