This Christmas we were buzzin’ to receive 3000 chilli seeds from world record holder Jürg Wiesli. Swiss giant veg grower Jürg broke the Guiness World Record for the Longest Chilli which grew to a whopping 50.5cm in length! Now it’s our turn to try and knock him off the top spot!

Jürg has even sent us some tops tips for growing the ultimate chilli for you all to follow!

Top Tips for World Record Chillies:
  • Apply VitaLink Fulvic 10ml/L as a weekly treatment to increase oxygen uptake and transportation of your plants key nutrients to fuel your plants growth.
  • Plant your seeds in small containers, either use individual plant pots or seed trays for the strongest plants.
  • Your seeds will need to be watered daily, keeping the soil moist. Give your seedlings the biggest dosage of water when they are first planted. After this stage add around a teaspoon of water daily.
  • Place in a location that is supplied with large amounts of sunlight and heat. The ROOT!T Hobby Heat Mat is perfect for this. Place the mat under your plants during propagation to ensure they are kept warm the entire time, creating the best environment for your plant.
  • Watch your chillies come to life! Once they have begun to sprout (March/April) plant your chillies outside on a sunny day.
