Description
A 4-layer multi-laminated ducting with an encapsulated high tensile steel wire helix which holds the open round shape of the duct to give less drag than competitor products, and thus less noise and less pressure drop in service. The aluminium and polyester inner layers minimise noise, while the tough black PVC copolymer outer acts as a vapour and light barrier and improved airtightness while remaining flexible. Totally plant safe. Supplied individually boxed in a 5m length. In the event of a fire, RAM Combi-Duct will emit no toxic gases.

Q: How should I install my ducting for best ventilation system performance?
A: All systems differ, but there are some basic guidelines which you should follow when designing your system:
- Avoid excessive lengths of duct. Ducting lengths should be taut when installed
- Support ducting adequately. Don’t allow it to dangle over beams or hangers and become kinked
- Keep any bends as gradual as possible. The inside radius of any bend should always be larger than the duct diameter – ideally much larger.
- If you need a tight bend, use a pressed metal bend
- When joining duct lines, use a straight joiner, a tee or Y connector as required
- Clamp all joints tightly to avoid leaks, and seal with duct tape.
